Illegal Mexicans Demand Vote in US

ILLEGAL MEXICANS DEMAND VOTE IN US

Isn't this ridiculous! As reported last evening on PBS in Phoenix Mexican President Fox who complained vigorously about Arizona's proposition 200 is taking his case to the world court to demand that illegals from his country be allowed to vote in the US. Where does he get off demanding such things? And for this vote what will we get?

The really sad thing here beside the demands is those of us who have lived both sides of the border know that if an American ever demanded the right to vote in Mexico we would be tossed out on our butt. In fact Americans in Mexico legally have far less rights than illegal Mexicans in the US.

In The Spirit of Bi-Partisanship

In The Spirit of Bi-Partisanship

Do you remember the day after Election Day when the defeated Dems with their tail between their legs said that they would work in a bi-partisan way in Washington? We all saw how long that lasted but the latest most petty example has been denying Condoleeza Rice a swift confirmation as Secretary of State. The leaders of the bi-partisan movement are Senators Kerry and Boxer who were the only two to vote against confirmation and deny Rice an Inaugural Day swearing in. I guess the only good thing to come out of the 16-2 vote is a sigh of relief that one of the bi-partisans was not the one being sworn in as President of the United States.

Teacher in Trouble for Sneeze

Teacher in Trouble with School Board Over Sneeze

A teacher in the Northern California school district of XXXX was suspended yesterday for saying "God bless you" when one of her students sneezed. Apparently an offended student complained that the teacher was bringing God into the classroom.

No, to my knowledge this has not happened yet. But do you really think it is beyond the realm of possibility? In today's litigious society and because we the majority have given up OUR rights this could happen.

Right now we have ONE atheist trying to stop a 200 year tradition of a prayer at the Presidential inauguration. When did we the majority give up OUR rights? In a democracy or a republic majority rules. Sure we must try to preserve the rights of the minority but not to the point of giving up OUR rights.

Preserve & Protect

Out of the box let me state that I am a staunch Republican. I supported and voted for the re-election of our President. However, that does not mean that I am part of some Kool-Aid group that will be led anywhere. I firmly believe our President and some of the members of Congress are far too lenient regarding preserving and protecting our borders and the direction they are heading is all wrong.

How can we just stand by idly while in Mexico they print comic books on how to enter the U.S. illegally? How can we just continue to allow the virtual take over of our border states by illegal immigrants? Not undocumented aliens. Illegal aliens or immigrants.

In the aftermath of 9/11 and the continuing war on terrorism it is vital for us to protect our borders. Not just because of the influx of cheap labor but because of the potential terrorist who enters this country illegally.

As Pat Buchanan stated: During the 45 years leading up to the Immigration Act of 1965, 10 million immigrants came to the U.S. and were successfully integrated into American culture. But the onset of mass immigration since the late 60s has overwhelmed our ability to assimilate. This year, 1.3 million more immigrants will pour into the U.S. - 400,000 of them illegal aliens. If America is to survive as one nation, we must stem this tide to mend the melting pot and assimilate the 28 million foreign-born already living within our borders.

Why does the President continue to push a policy of one illegal for one job? Basically granting legal immigration status to some just because they want to work in the U.S. This is not even a quid pro quo policy with Mexico. A U.S. citizen who might want to work in Mexico and who may seek some social services from the Mexican government is very quickly shown the border as they are ushered out of the country. Why do we have to be different?

I am not against immigration but it should be controlled and legal. We all need to write, email, or telephone our Congressman or Senator and let them know how we feel on this very important and pending decision. http://www.house.gov/writerep/ for you Congressman and http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm for your Senator.

Drug Tests For Celebs!

Congress Demanding Baseball Drug Test Players

So where is Congress when the biggest abusers are the rock stars and movie idols. Wouldn't it be refreshing if those stars who are put on pedestals far more than ball players were given drug tests before and after performances?

Welcome

Isn't It Ridiculous?

Big controversy in our schools now. Should parents be told that there child is taking time off for an abortion? Schools are saying no. The child has rights! Now isn't it ridiculous since schools ask for a note from the parent to allow the child to go on a field trip but the school feels that the parent does not have to be notified if that same child takes a field trip to an abortion clinic.
